Singer Barbra Streisand is one of the most over the top anti-Trump celebrities there are. Last spring she accused Trump of being responsible for her weight gain. “Donald Trump is making me gain weight. I start the day with liquids, but after the morning news, I eat pancakes smothered in maple syrup!” tweeted Streisand.
Now in an interview with Variety, she attacked the President again for things out of his control. According to Streisand, the Florida shooting is President Trump’s fault. But not for the reason you would think. It has nothing to do with guns, instead, it’s because Trump “brings out violence in people” by doing things such as saying he wants Hillary Clinton locked up.
“I think even that shooter was affected because Trump brings out the violence in people. He says, ‘It’s OK — really, lock her up,” said Streisand.
Streisand attacked Trump for insulting others, right after she insulted him. “He embodies the nasty remarks he makes about other people. He’s a liar. He’s crooked,” said Streisand.
She went on to argue that Hillary Clinton actually won the election. “I really believe she won the election. I’ve talked to senators from Michigan and Wisconsin. I do believe like I believed during Bush, they were playing with those voter machines. And Gore lost by 537 votes out of 104 million. And now, in retrospect, Bush looks quite good compared to Trump. At least he’s not mean-spirited. He’s not a guy who is retaliating for what Obama did at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” said Streisand.
